"I know," Yuki waved him away. "I was just about to go."
Kurai eyed him with surprise, but stepped out of the way as Yuki closed his book and made his way out of the Moon Dorms. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."
"Yes, Prince Yuki."
Rolling his eyes, he headed towards the headmaster's residence. Once he reached it, he wasn't surprised at all to find two new students standing on either side of Cross' desk.
"Oh, great! You're here!" Cross brightened when Yuki walked in the door. "I was just explaining to Eri here the importance of being a vampire hunter. Mai and Katsu should be here soon. Once they take Eri, I want you to explain to Akira about the rules of being a vampire at Cross Academy. Yuki, she's a Pureblood." He enunciated it slowly, as if were stupid.
Narrowing his eyes at Cross, he simply nodded to Akira. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Yuki Shimizu." He was about to offer his hand, when Mai and Katsu walked in.

"Come on Katsu! It'll be fun!" Mai grabbed his hand and began dragging him down the hallway.
"No! No, it won't!" Katsu complained as he reluctantly followed. "Where are we even going?"
"You'll see!" She let go of his arm and looked back at him with a smile. As she was turning back around, she ran into someone. Looking up, she noticed the dark hair almost immediately. "Oh! I'm sorry, Takari!" She apologized with a small bow.
Takari looked down at her, his red eyes narrowing as he pushed past her and Katsu. Mai looked after him, her eyebrows furrowing together.
"Ah, don't worry about him!" Katsu said as placed his arm on her head as he leaned on her. "He's strange."
"He didn't used to be like that," Mai said as she shook of his arm and continued walking.
"I know." Katsu's voice was almost a whisper as he looked back at Katsu and then followed Mai. "So are you going to tell me where we're going?"
"Nope!" She grinned and walked into the headmaster's room. She was surprised when she noticed three people in the room with Headmaster Cross. Bowing, she apologized. "I'm sorry! I should've knocked!"
"Don't worry about it!" Cross grinned. "Mai, Katsu, you know Yuki."
"Yes, of course! He's a student from the Night Class!"
Katsu narrowed his eyes, but nodded.
"Well, there's another Night Class student joining Cross Academy. Her name is Akira. I have let Yuki explain to her about the academy. What I want you two to do is help Eri."
Mai nodded. "We can do that!" She shot Eri a smile. "Welcome to Cross Academy! I'm Mai Akiri and this is Katsu Tamostu!"
Cross gestured towards Mai and Katsu. "Go ahead, Eri. You're free to go."
"Thank you," Eri said as he walked over to the two.
After Mai, Katsu, and Eri left the room, Yuki turned his attention to Akira and gestured for her to go first. "Ladies first," he said. He was being polite, however, he wanted to make sure that she understood the rules for vampires at Cross Academy.
Eri stood next to Mai in silence. He cleared his throat to clear the awkward silence. "So, how long have you guys been here?"
ReplyDeleteAkira looked up at Yuri from the floor. "Wha- Oh! Thanks." She said quietly, heading out the door. "She waited until they were heading down the hallway to start asking him questions. "What classes do you have? Like any public school?"
"I've been here for a year now!" Mai smiled. "Katsu has been here longer, but he won't even tell me how long."
ReplyDelete"Yes," Yuki said with a small nod as he folded his hands behind his back. "However, that's not what I wanted to speak to you about. The drinking of human blood is forbidden here. If I were to catch you," he glanced over at her. Glaring; his eyes dark. "I will kill you."
Akira turned and looked at Yuri. "I've never even tasted human blood. I don't intend to anytime soon." She did a 360 to examine the design of the hallway and keep up with Yuri. "Besides, my sense of smell is weak, which weakens my taste. Helps with the blood tablets." She looked at Yuri out of the corner of her eye. "By the way, how big is your library?"
ReplyDeleteEri nodded. "What classes are here? Is it like high school?" He wasn't interested in his schoolwork, he just wanted to know what he had to study harder for, since he barely passed most classes anyway.
"It's quite big," Yuki said as he looked over at her. He was no longer hostile. He believed her. "The one at the school is a lot bigger than the one in the Moon Dorms. Oh, yes, I should mention, I don't want you turning any other humans."

Katsu eyed Eri suspiciously. "Hey, Mai. Why don't you go see if Eri's dorm is ready.
"Okay!" Mai smiled and ran off. Once she was gone, Katsu turned to Eri. "What are you doing here? Why did you enroll with that vampire?"
"Why would I do that? I'd have to taste their blood." Akira said, mentally creating an image of the library. She really didn't want to go near humans. Or anyone, for that matter. "Anyways, I'm very shy. I wouldn't go out to find a human just to turn them." She said.
ReplyDeleteEri looked at Katsu and pulled his knife from his pocket. "Same reason you are, I suppose. I just showed up when she did. My dad sent me here." He opened his mouth to explain further when his knife turned into a sword. "It really hasn't done that before. It usually stays a knife." He explained quickly, smacking his palm on the hilt of his sword to get it to shrink back into a knife.
Yuki simply shrugged. "As long as you follow these rules, I'm sure you'll be fine. I must warn you though; they Day Class students can get a little hectic." He let a small laugh escape from his lips. "I'm sure Cross has told you where the Moon Dormitory is. If not, it's on the other side."
ReplyDelete"Looks like you need more training," Katsu snorted as he looked at the knife/sword. "You might want to be alert around the Night Class. They may seem nice, but you and I both know they aren't."
"Who isn't nice?" Mai asked as she looked from Katsu to Eri. Before anyone can answer she smiled. "Eri, you'll be sharing a dorm with Katsu. He'll show you where it is!"
Akira nodded. "Don't worry. I'll be in my dorm most of the day. I won't cause any trouble." She told him. "You have any family?"
ReplyDeleteEri nodded. "Thanks Mai." Luckliy he had a knife instead of a sword again so he slipped it into his ack pocket. "Care to show me where our dorm is?" He asked Katsu.
"No," Yuki said. "No, I don't have any family. What about you?"
ReplyDeleteKatsu shrugged. "Why not? I have nothing better to do. It's getting pretty late, the Night Class will be starting their classes soon."
Mai bowed once before waving to them. "I'm going to go to my dorm. Bye guys!"
