He sat up when Yuki arrived with a new student. He narrowed his eyes, taking her in. "What are you doing here?" He sneered. "Don't you know this class is for vampires. You might as well leave and take your human blood with you." He held his stomach as he began laughing at his own 'joke'.
Yuki walked over to him, a dark look in his eyes as he brought his hand up and slapped the lower level vampire. "I'll have you know, Kurai, that Akira here is a Pureblood. Which, in case you have forgotten, has absolutely no human blood. However, I can't speak on your behalf."
Kurai was shocked, but he didn't reciprocate. Instead, he stood up and bowed. "I am so sorry, My Lady. Please forgive me, I have wronged you."
Yuki just shook his head as he took a seat at the back. He didn't often pull rank, but he couldn't just let the Aristocrat make a fool of himself in front of another Pureblood.
After attempting to make amends, Kurai sat back down, feeling like an idiot. He leaned back, only to realize that his chair was the other way around. Quickly he steadied himself and looked around only to realize, with relief, that no one had noticed.
He looked back to the front of the classroom to see a girl enter. He would not be making the same mistake twice. Although he knew she wasn't a Pureblood, Cross wouldn't allow this many, he turned his head. However, he couldn't help from looking back, eyes narrowed. With her chestnut brown hair and violet eyes, she reminded him much of a his childhood friend, however, he knew it couldn't be her. His friend would be dead by now. She was human.

As the Night Class started, Mai couldn't help but sneak a walk outside. She yawned, but quickly shook her head to rid of any tiredness. She was indeed tired, but sleep was the last thing on her mind. She was about to turn around and go back to the Sun Dorms, but a noise made her stop. Mai peered over the edge of the balcony and into the forest, only to see a tall, skinny boy with glasses and messy black hair walking alone. Figuring he was a new student coming back from Headmaster Cross' residence, she was about to leap over the edge, when something stopped her. A shadow stepped out from behind a tree and approached the boy. She could tell it was another boy, but his eyes began to glow red. His dark head of hair was tucked under a hood and his hands were at his sides. She knew who it was. Takari.
Takari approached the boy. His eyes beginning to red even more. "I do apologize," he began. "I'll make it quick, I promise. I'm just terribly thirsty and seeing that Master Cross is the only one that knows you're here, it won't make a difference if you disappear. Although, I do believe the Night Class would be blamed."
Akira looked down as Kurai bowed. "No, really. It's okay." She quickly sat down next to Yuri.
ReplyDelete(I guess the appropriate way to describe Akira is to listen to Luna Lovegood, and that's ho she talks.)
[...I know she's from Harry Potter...but I've never seen/read Harry Potter. XD]
ReplyDelete"Sorry about him," Yuki apologized with a rigid smile. "He's usually more well-mannered."
(she talks really quietly, and like she's in a dream.. )
ReplyDeleteAkira shook her head. "No, I wish people wouldn't trip over themselves because we're Pureblood. We really aren't so different from other vampires. We all look the same." she said, trailing off. Sometimes she wished she didn't have to be presented as Pureblood, just to see how other vampires would treat her.
[Oh, okay~]
ReplyDelete"But we are different," Yuki pointed out as he turned to look outside. "You're going to have to accept that. We may look the same, but we aren't. Our bloodline is pure. It's not tainted by human blood. We are the only vampires that are able to create more. We're even more powerful. Yes, the Aritocrats can manipulate one of the elements, but we can do so much more than that."
Akira sighed, knowing she was probably the only one who felt every vampire should be treated equally. She put her head down on her desk and looked up at the clock, feeling like she was back in high school. "How long do classes last?" she asked Yuri.
ReplyDelete"Until it's time to sleep." Yuki turned his attention from the window to the vampire beside him. "As soon as the sun starts to rise we head back to the Moon Dorms. I should warn you, the Day Class students will be waiting. All though they are much more active when we're going to class."
ReplyDelete"Alright. I'm sure I can stay out of their way. I'm pretty good at staying out of sight." SHe told Yuri. "All the same, what's the best way to evade them to get back to the dorms?" She asked him.
ReplyDelete"There's really no way," he said with a simple shrug. "Nevertheless, it's not much of a bother. In fact, some of us here enjoy the attention." He glanced at Kurai. "Maybe a little more than others."
ReplyDeleteAkira looked at Kurai out of the corner of her eye, then her attention shifted to the new girl who had walked in. "Know who that is?" She whispered to Yuri. She knew the girl couldn't be a Pureblood but she had a sort of air about her, like she was still important.
ReplyDelete"I don't know, but I better go talk to her before Kurai does anything stupid." He let out an annoyed sigh as he got up and walked down the stairs to the new girl; Alina.
ReplyDeleteInstead of having to talk to Yuki, Kurai stood up and immediately made his way to the other side of the classroom. His cheek wasn't in pain anymore, but he would rather keep his distance than get hit again.
Alina turned to see Yuri walking towards her. "Oh, hello," she said with a friendly smile, a slight Russian accent in her voice. "You must be Yuri."

Simon turned around, and his eyes widened at the demented-looking, red eyed thing creeping towards him, saying something along the lines of wanting to drink his blood. With a strangled cry, Simon dropped his books and ran.
~Simon
"Yes," he nodded. "May I ask who you are?"
ReplyDeleteKurai watched Yuki and Alina from across the room. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the window sill.
"I wouldn't run," Takari hissed as he took after Simon.
"Hey!" Mai called from the balcony as she watched Simon scream and run. He's in trouble! Leaping over the edge, she ran after them. They were certainly fast, but she managed to catch up. She was about to call out to the new boy, but Takari took one look back at her and took off. The last thing he wanted was anyone to know that he was a Level D.
"Alina Nokova, Aristocrat," she said. "Pleased to meet you." She glanced around, taking in the classroom. "Nice school you have here," she said.

Simon slowed down and looked back at Mai. "Thanks," he said breathlessly. "Who was that guy?"
~Simon
Crossing one arm over his abdomen, he bowed. "The pleasure is all mine, Miss Nokova. I am Yuki Shimizu; Pureblood."
ReplyDelete"He is a student here," Mai said as she watched the area where Takari disappeared. "He's been acting awfully odd lately. I should report this to Headmaster Cross later on today. What are you doing out so late? Day Class students are supposed to be out at night."
Eri turned the corner from his dorm. He saw Mai standing in the courtyard and talking to someone. Eyes narrowing, he hurried over to Mai. "You okay?" he asked her. Eri gestured to the new boy. "Who's this?"
ReplyDelete"Oh, hi Eri!" Mai shot him a friendly smile before turning to Simon. "I'm sorry, I don't know his name. I just know he's a Day Class student."
ReplyDeleteSimon smiled slightly, though he was still shaken. "Simon," he said, holding out a hand.
ReplyDelete~Simon
Alina smiled at Yuri. "When do classes start?"
~Alina
"It all depends," Yuki let out a small laugh. "Our teacher tends to be late. He's fairly new and isn't really used to teaching during the night."
ReplyDelete"Welcome to Cross Academy, Simon," Mai bowed respectfully. "I'm Mai."
